Rooted in luxury residential architecture, the practice established its expertise through the design of distinctive private homes, alterations and renovations. Each project reflects a considered response to its setting, architectural character and the individual needs of those who occupy the space.

As the practice evolved, its portfolio expanded into retail and restaurant environments. This progression introduced opportunities to explore the relationship between spatial design, brand identity and customer experience, creating engaging commercial spaces that balance functionality with visual character.

The redesign of the lobby and executive lounge at the Hilton Hotel in Cape Town marked an important entry into the hospitality sector. The project broadened the practice's experience in creating welcoming, high-quality guest environments where operational requirements, atmosphere and interior detailing work together.

The appointment to design the interiors of the new Werksmans Attorneys building, together with an exterior consultancy role, represented a significant milestone in the commercial sector. It demonstrated the practice's ability to approach complex workplace environments through an integrated architectural and interior design perspective.

Today, Masterworx brings together experience across residential, retail, hospitality and commercial design. With a growing portfolio spanning diverse project types and locations, the practice continues to pursue thoughtful, innovative and enduring design solutions, guided by a commitment to excellence, integrity and collaboration.
